Transfer expert provides fresh updates on Guardiola future at Man City

The future of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City has become a pressing concern for fans, with the manager’s contract expiring in 2025.

While his current deal offers some security, recent comments and industry rumblings hint at a potential departure come next summer.

Guardiola has remained coy on his long-term plans, previously stating there’s “time” to discuss an extension.

However, The Athletic’s David Ornstein, during a Q&A session, revealed a “feeling around the industry” that Guardiola may leave in 2025.

This aligns with Guardiola’s history of waiting until the final stages before committing to new contracts at City.

While Ornstein admits a lack of concrete evidence for a 2025 exit, Manchester City supporters will undoubtedly be hoping to make the most of Guardiola’s potential final season.

The club has a historic quadruple of Premier League and FA Cup titles within reach.

A victory over West Ham this Sunday would secure a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League crown for City.

The following weekend presents another chance at glory as they face Manchester United in a rematch of last year’s FA Cup final.

With the Premier League title potentially secured this weekend, the FA Cup final becomes even more significant.

It could represent Guardiola’s final opportunity to add another trophy to his impressive Manchester City haul and mark a successful conclusion to his tenure, should he indeed choose to depart in 2025.

The coming months will be crucial for both Guardiola and the club as they navigate contract discussions and potentially a historic swansong season.
