Manchester City is preparing for the potential departure of manager Pep Guardiola by evaluating candidates for his replacement.

Guardiola’s current contract with City expires at the end of next season, and the club is exploring options for a smooth transition.

Journalist Jorge Picón reports that the club is seeking a candidate who shares Guardiola’s style, including tactical similarities, charisma, and football knowledge.

One name that has emerged from the City Football Group is Míchel Sanchez, the current head coach of Girona.

Míchel’s success at Girona in La Liga has garnered him respect within the City Football Group. He is known for guiding the team to compete at the top of the league alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona. Míchel’s achievements and ability to develop top talents have impressed the City board.

Furthermore, Míchel is reportedly learning English, possibly in preparation for future opportunities, which may include managing Manchester City.

His personality and work ethic have made him a strong contender to succeed Guardiola.

While Manchester City remains open to exploring other options, Míchel’s qualifications position him as a potential candidate to lead the club. His approach aligns with City’s goals for future success and maintaining its status as a top-tier football club.

As City navigates potential changes in management, the focus remains on finding the right leader to continue the team’s achievements.
