Manchester City given go-ahead for spectacular Toni Kroos deal

Manchester City is reportedly considering a sensational summer swoop for seasoned Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, as uncertainty looms over the German’s future.

Kroos, who has spent the last decade at Real Madrid following his move from Bayern Munich after the 2014 World Cup, is believed to be pondering his next move.

The midfielder previously collaborated with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola during their time together at Bayern in the 2013/14 season, sparking speculation of a potential reunion.

Despite missing out on Kroos last year after the departure of Ilkay Gundogan, City seems eager to secure his services.

According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, the treble-winning club is willing to offer Kroos staggering wages of £13 million per year in a short-term deal.

However, the 31-year-old remains undecided about his future, despite helping Real Madrid secure another La Liga title and reach the Champions League final this season.

As the final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 1st approaches, it remains uncertain whether this could mark Kroos’s last appearance for Madrid or even his farewell as a professional footballer, with retirement also on the cards.

Despite his age, Kroos continues to be regarded as one of the game’s top talents, and his potential arrival at City could add significant experience and quality to their midfield ranks.

While it’s uncertain whether City will indeed secure Kroos’s signature at this stage of his career, the possibility of a reunion with Guardiola has certainly sparked intrigue among football fans worldwide.
