John Stones unhappy at Man City

The situation reveal that John Stones is “very unhappy” with his current role at Manchester City, despite being fully fit and available.

According to footballinsider, the 29-year-old defender has found himself on the sidelines, starting just one Premier League game since March.

Stones’ discontent stems from concerns about losing his assured starting position in the England team ahead of the Euros. While he remains a key figure under Gareth Southgate, prolonged absence from City’s lineup could jeopardize his place beyond the summer tournament.

Despite having a contract until 2026, Stones is considering his future at the club. His season has been marred by injury setbacks, but even after returning to fitness, Pep Guardiola has favored other defenders over him.

Stones’ frustration is compounded by the emergence of younger talents like Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite. With two years remaining on his contract, a potential departure from the Etihad is on the cards for Stones this summer.

In related news, City has been informed of the price tag for Eberechi Eze, signaling potential transfer activity in the upcoming window. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
