Guardiola Provides squad update ahead of Manchester City’s crucial Fulham clash

Pep Guardiola has provided a squad fitness update ahead of Manchester City’s crucial Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday.

After a rare midweek break, the City manager confirmed that he has a full squad to choose from for the trip to London, with Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, and Ederson all returning for last week’s 5-1 win over Wolves.

City can move back to the top of the table with a victory at Craven Cottage at 12:30 (UK), ahead of Arsenal’s match against Manchester United. Guardiola stated that his squad has remained healthy due to the excellent work of the club’s medical department over the years.

When it comes to team selection, the City boss considers many factors, including the players’ form in training, their behavior, the opponent’s tactics, and the overall match strategy. “There is not a specific rule to decide,”

While City has been eliminated from the Champions League, Guardiola stressed that his team must adapt to the current situation and focus on the remaining Premier League games.

“I would prefer to play in the semi-final of the Champions League,” he admitted. A victory against Fulham would put City two points clear at the top of the table, but the manager remains mindful of the difficult away trips ahead, including another game in London.
