Fulham Goalkeeper Bernd Leno sends message to Gunners fans ahead of Fulham vs Man City

Fulham Goalkeeper Bernd Leno has assured his former Arsenal teammates that he will give his all to deny Manchester City a win this afternoon.

With City aiming to secure another Premier League title, Leno hopes to play a decisive role in the title race by thwarting his former club’s rivals.

Speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, Leno emphasized his commitment to performing at his best.

“My focus is, of course, my club and my performance,” Leno stated. “If we take some points from City, I think a lot of Arsenal boys will text me.

A couple of them text me already, and I said to them, ‘Guys, don’t worry, we will give 100% because we want to finish our last home game in a positive way as well.’”

Having spent four years at Arsenal before joining Fulham in 2022, Leno understands the significance of the match for both clubs. Despite City’s dominant form, Leno remains hopeful based on past encounters.

“Most of the games we have had against City are very tight,” Leno remarked. “Even last season when we lost 2-1, it was a very tight game at The Cottage.

Hopefully, we can make it as hard as possible for them. We need a perfect day, a perfect game.”

As City aim to clinch the title, Leno’s determination to make an impact underscores the competitive spirit prevalent in the Premier League.
