Former Manchester City midfielder tipped to be future Etihad Stadium manager by Pep Guardiola

Manchester City’s former Treble-winning captain Ilkay Gundogan, who recently left the club for Barcelona, is being backed by Pep Guardiola to make a significant impact in management.

After leading the team to historic victories, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, Gundogan departed the club but left a lasting impression.

A recent report suggests that Guardiola and others in his circle believe Gundogan could become Manchester City’s future manager.

His influence was evident during his coaching sessions at the City Football Academy, where he contributed to tactics such as the ‘box formation’ and supported the evolution of players like John Stones.

With Guardiola’s contract set to expire at the end of next season, discussions about his future with the club have not yet commenced.

The possibility of Gundogan taking the managerial role at City in the future has sparked interest as the club looks ahead to potential leadership changes.

Gundogan’s deep understanding of City’s strategies and his close relationship with Guardiola could pave the way for a successful transition to management at the Etihad Stadium.

As Manchester City continues to achieve success, the possibility of Gundogan returning in a different capacity offers an exciting prospect for fans and the club’s future.
