Carlo Ancelotti makes shock Real Madrid selection admission ahead of Man City second leg

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has hinted at the possibility of including Eder Militao in the team for their upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City.

In their quest to progress to the semi-finals, Real Madrid faces the challenge of playing without Aurelien Tchouameni, who is suspended due to receiving three yellow cards in the competition. Tchouameni’s absence leaves a gap in the defensive line for Madrid.

Ancelotti mentioned that Nacho is a reliable option to fill in for Tchouameni, but he also mentioned the potential return of Militao. Despite not having started a game since August due to injury, Militao’s recent return to the squad presents a bold possibility for Madrid.

The Brazilian defender’s comeback would be unexpected after being sidelined for eight months, especially facing formidable opponents like Erling Haaland.

Ancelotti expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the first leg against City, emphasizing their competitiveness and determination. He remains optimistic about their chances in the upcoming match and believes they can secure a spot in the next round if they maintain their competitive spirit.

The second leg promises to be an intense encounter as both teams vie for a spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
